1. Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how PIE Inc. ("PIE") uses cookies, tracking pixels, sub-ID parameters, and similar tracking technologies when you visit pieapp.io or use the PIE mobile application. By continuing to use the Platform, you consent to our use of cookies as described in this policy.
2. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. PIE also uses:
- Sub-ID parameters: Tracking identifiers appended to affiliate links that attribute a click or purchase to a specific PIE user — the core mechanism enabling cashback calculation
- Local and session storage: Browser-based storage to maintain your session state and preferences
- Tracking pixels: Small image files used by analytics and affiliate network tools to confirm page views or click events
- Mobile device identifiers: Advertising IDs (Apple IDFA, Google GAID) that may be used for analytics in the mobile app
3. Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the Platform to function and cannot be disabled.
| Cookie Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |

4. Affiliate Tracking Cookies and Parameters
These are the most important tracking mechanisms on PIE. They are core to how cashback works.
Important: Disabling affiliate tracking cookies will prevent PIE from attributing your purchases to your account. If we cannot track your click, we cannot calculate or credit cashback for that purchase.
| Tracker / Parameter | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| subid / sub_id | PIE | Links a shopper click to their PIE account for cashback attribution | Per click |
| impact_clickid | Impact | Impact network click tracking for commission attribution | 30–90 days |

| irclickid | Impact | Impact Radius click tracking parameter | 30 days |
| utm_source / medium | PIE / Google | UTM parameters for analytics and attribution | Session |

7. Third-Party and Affiliate Network Cookies
When you click an affiliate link on PIE, you are redirected to a third-party merchant website which may place their own cookies. These are governed by the respective affiliate network's and merchant's privacy policies. The main affiliate networks PIE works with:
- Impact (impact.com) — see impact.com/privacy-policy
- Awin (awin.com) — see awin.com/privacy
- ShareASale (shareasale.com) — see shareasale.com/privacy.cfm
8. Social Platform Tracking
When you connect a social media account for quest verification (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.), those platforms may place their own tracking technologies through their OAuth and API connections. This is governed by each platform's own cookie and privacy policies. PIE requests only the minimum permissions necessary for quest verification.
