What Instagram Data Does PIE Collect?

When you connect your Instagram account to PIE via OAuth, we may receive the following data from Instagram to enable quest verification features:

Your Instagram username and public profile information
Confirmation of specific actions where permitted by Instagram's API (such as whether you follow a creator's account or have liked a post) — used solely to verify quest completion
An access token that allows PIE to query Instagram on your behalf

We do not post on your behalf, access your private messages, or collect data beyond what is needed for quest verification.

How to Delete Your Instagram Data from PIE

You can request deletion of all Instagram data PIE holds about you at any time. There are two ways to do this:

Disconnect Instagram in the PIE app

Go to your PIE Profile → Settings → Connected Accounts → Instagram → Disconnect. This immediately revokes PIE's access token and removes your Instagram connection from our platform.

Revoke access directly from Instagram

Go to your Instagram account → Settings → Security → Apps and Websites → find PIE → Remove. This revokes PIE's access at the Instagram level immediately.

Use the form below to request complete deletion of all Instagram data PIE holds, including any stored profile information, action confirmations, and access tokens. We will process your request within 30 days and send a confirmation to your email.

⏱ Processing time: Deletion requests are processed within 30 days. You will receive an email confirmation once your Instagram data has been permanently deleted from PIE's systems.

What Happens After Deletion

Your Instagram access token is immediately revoked and deleted from PIE's servers
Any stored Instagram profile data (username, profile picture) is permanently removed
Quest completion records linked to Instagram actions are anonymised or deleted
If you requested full account deletion, all associated cashback, XP, and loyalty data will also be removed, subject to financial record retention requirements
You will receive an email confirmation once deletion is complete
